Do they see value in creating websites? why or why not? What are the issues faced in doing so?
About 60 % of small businesses see value in creating web sites for marketing and in e-commerce.
Some of the issues facing development are what plat form do i use do i include flash tecnology and what vendor do i use for the e-commerce component. it has to be user friendly and current at all times which means regular updating, You must also alow user to give feed back and or have a help feature built in.
They see this as a very valuable asset to their business as the internet is becoming the fastest growing medium for any business and users are very comfortable in using this medium.

I am starting a small business and am looking for a website host but I'm getting a bit lost among all the offers and prices and… since I'm just getting started, I don't really know just HOW MUCH I need, you know, and I don't have much money to spare on websites so… if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it a great deal. Thanks! ![]()

I have a small internet business working from home and I would like to advertise to the wider market in the U.K and America and Iwas wondering if there are any free websites that I can use to display these banners. Cheers
You can advertise on mine for free, contact sales@wholesale-outlet.co.uk or take a look at site and see what you think. Every little bit of advertising helps
I work for a small privatley owned coffee shop and I have recenlty taken over the entertainment (we generally have live music on Sat nights) I would like to make this a venue where artists of all kind can connect, and I am going to be having poetry nights once a month. Basically, I'm revamping the entire thing and making it a more artistic atmosphere, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any art grants awarded to small businesses? The websites I've found so far have been disorganized and unhelpful.
Thanks both of you! Grants are usually for non-profet, however, there are some grants specifically for the private sector. I found that interesting, but of course, it's difficult to go about getting them, hence the question.
There are no grants for a for profit business unless you are opening a daycare. If you need money, you will need to apply for a loan. No lender will talk to you unless you provide them with a valid business plan. Go to http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org or http://www.bplan.com for sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan.
Then, go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review your business plan and discuss various loan options available to you.
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.
