Google can find information on the Internet in milliseconds, why can't I do the same on my local drive?


There are many tools that let you do desktop search. You might consider:

Yahoo Desktop Search:

Windows Live Toolbar Desktop Search

Windows Desktop Search:

    Get Google Desktop; Works Great; It indexes your Drive/s and allows for super fast searches.
    Alternatively, if you have XP Pro, start the Indexing Service, and this will work your Search options into a major frenzy . But, for every 500,000 items in the Index Service you need a spare 200 meg of memory
