Should a local news website be added to Google News?

I am involved in a niche local news website. I am considering submitting it to Google News. Is there any reason not to? Anyone have any experiences that they want to share?

p.s. The news is updated with about 20 articles weekly.
cyberdroid: news.google.com – yes, they are.

I think Google is a search engine, to get top positions business have to pay a lot of money, they are not into the news business..☺
