I created a private domain name with Yahoo Small Business and have found websites suggesting I add a CNAME.?

When they say adding a CNAME with the destination "ghs.google.com" will point to google, what does that mean? Under what conditions would I want to great that CNAME?

CNAME is a pseudo-name for a static variable. It enhances portability and increases the compiling process.
